Trefeurig Show
Trefeurig Show has been running successfully for the last 11 years and is held on the 1st Saturday in September at Trefeurig School.
Everyone is welcome to come and look at the exhibits and join in the fun, but if you wish to enter exhibits yourself you must be a member of Trefeurig Community Association or a child who attends a local school.
There are classes for: Vegetables; Fruit; Flowers; Handicrafts (split into 2 sections); Cookery; Preserves; Primary School Children; Secondary School Children; Household Pets; Ducks; Poultry; Dogs.
Prior to Foot & Mouth we held a Sheep Show on the same day, and would like to reinstate this if we can. We also used to hold a small horse and pony show, but sadly we had had to drop this because of insurance issues. We are hoping to expand the Duck and Poultry classes to compensate for this.
On the afternoon of the Show we also have various stalls and activities taking place in the school grounds.
The Show is run by a dedicated Show Committee, and there is always room for more members.
The AGM is held at Trefeurig School in February and this is advertised on the Community Notice Boards.
